Denver – A visit to the Mile High City is an adventure any time of the year. Many of the ski resorts have alpine slides, ziplines, mountain biking, and Segway tours during the off-season, giving you a much different look at the beautiful mountains and scenery. Denver is also home to Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park if you’re looking for some thrills and screams! If culture is more your group’s style, visit the Denver Art Museum, The Denver Center of the Performing Arts, or Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum.
Nashville – More than just country music, Nashville is a hot spot for all genres of music. You can get your boot scoot on with a visit to the historic Ryman Auditorium or visit The Grand Ole Opry. From symphonies, to rock, to gospel – Nashville has it all. You can also visit the only full-sized replica of The Parthenon, Andrew Jackson’s home, The Hermitage, or check out many of the art galleries and museums in the area.
Niagra Falls – Obviously, the main attraction of Niagra Falls is the beautiful and historic waterfall. But there are many ways to see it: you can take a boat ride to the edge of the Falls, fly around them in a helicopter, or even walk behind the cascading waters. There are also theatres, waterparks, and more fun activities for everyone.
Ocean City – Becoming more and more popular with student trips. Ocean City, MD is becoming The Place To Be. During the summer, there are free events almost every night that includes Sundaes in the Park with free concerts, ice cream, and fireworks, OC Beach Dance Party, and Family Beach Olympics. You can also stroll along the three miles of boardwalk with rides, performers, arcades, and more entertaining activities.
St. Louis – There are things everyone has to do when they visit St. Louis: see the Gateway Arch, ride some rollercoasters at Six Flags, maybe catch a Cardinals game. But there is a lot more to see and do there. The City Museum is an experience all by itself along with the Saint Louis Science Center. There are things to see and do for all ages there. The area is also full of historical things like Missouri History Museum, Cahokia Mounds and the home of Ragtime legend Scott Joplin.
Seattle – From viewing the peak of Mt. Ranier to taking an orca sightseeing cruise in the Pacific Ocean, no matter where you go in Seattle, you’ll have a memorable experience. Make sure to visit the world famous Pike Place Market for some great food and a little fish tossing, too. Right in the center of the city is Lake Union. You can take a kayak or paddleboat ride, or cruise around in an electric boat. For something special, take a ride in a Duck. This amphibious vehicle takes you through the streets of Seattle before wading into Lake Union.
Williamsburg – With amusement parks and historical sites, Williamsburg, VA has something for everyone. Busch Gardens, Williamsburg is one of the most famous spots, but you can also visit Water Country USA, Go Ape Treetop Adventure, and Go-Karts Plus. If you are looking for some more educational activities, you can visit historic Jamestowne, Yorktown Battlefield, and Colonial Williamsburg, among other famous locations. Check out the theatres, a voyage on a pirate ship, and many museums.
Yellowstone National Park – Where to begin with things to do in Yellowstone National Park? Hiking, boating, horseback riding, camping, biking, guided tours, the list goes on and on. You can have a ranger lead you on campfire programs and hikes or your group can explore the miles of trails available. Make sure to pack your binoculars, so you can see the wildlife from a safe distance. After all, they ARE wild animals!
